If I become an Instructor Candidate, I have one year to complete the curriculum. What if my Provider card expires within that year?
Once someone who has an approved application enrolls in the Instructor Candidate curriculum, they have one year to complete this curriculum and become an NRP Instructor. If their NRP Provider card expires during that year, their provider status is extended to the end of that year. This is not a one year extension on their provider card; the new expiration date will be one year from the date they enroll in the Instructor Candidate curriculum. If the Provider card expiration date is already after that one year period, the Provider card expiration date remains the same.
