What happens if an NRP Provider doesn't complete the Instructor-Led event within the 90 days of completing Part 1 of the curriculum?
After completing Part 1 of the NRP Provider Curriculum, the student has 90 days in which to complete the Instructor-Led Event in Part 2. If the event is not completed after 90 days, the student will have to re-enroll in the NRP Provider Curriculum and take Part 1 again. The NRP Provider Curriculum is non refundable.
- If self-enrolled through the NRP LMS, the system will not allow re-enrollment in the curriculum from the catalog if the previous curriculum is still within the To Do list. To remove the old curriculum, select “7th Edition NRP Provider” from within the To Do list. On the right side of the screen, click the button to “Un-Enroll from Curriculum.” A warning message will appear alerting the student that unenrolling will require a reassignment or repurchase of the curriculum. Click “Yes, un-enroll from this curriculum.” Once this is done, then the student will be able to re-enroll in a new curriculum.
- If assigned the curriculum by a hospital, an administrator will need to remove that assignment and re-assign the curriculum.
- If there are extenuating circumstances, an instructor may make an exception to the 90-day rule and allow a student to take an Instructor-Led Event if this time limit has passed. This exception should be made at the instructor’s discretion.
